Public Computers are Back Online!

September 26, 2008

All of the library’s public computers are back up and working fine. And better yet, it’s easier to log in than ever before. If any computer is open, you can walk right up and sign up at it without needing a ticket or to sign up anywhere else. All you need is your library card number, and a password that you create yourself the first time you log in. New Kiosk computers manage logins and show the time remaining if all the computers are full.

Our staff will be happy to offer assistance or answer any questions you have regarding the new system, and we’re eager to let everyone enjoy the more streamlined access that we now offer.

All Public Computers will be Offline this Wednesday

September 6, 2008

The software upgrade we’ve been promising you is ready to be installed, and we’ll be doing so this Wednesday the 24th. Unfortunately, this does mean our public access computers will be offline for the day while we do the installation. They’ll be back on Thursday, and getting onto a computer should be faster and easier than ever after that. Access will be based through your library card, so remember to bring it with you if you’re coming to log in and use the Internet. If you have any questions at all, our staff will be happy to explain or help however we can.  Thanks!
